TEFL in Thailand: become an English teacher
IEC invites you to a program for those who want to work as English teachers in Thailand. It is an excellent opportunity not only to master a sought-after profession but also to gain an unforgettable experience of living in one of the most beautiful and hospitable countries in Southeast Asia.
Our TEFL course in Chiang Mai (Thailand) lasts four weeks and is suitable for both experienced teachers and newcomers without formal teaching qualifications. The program includes the study of methodology for teaching English as a foreign language: vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, lesson planning, and classroom management. Special attention is paid to practical skills — you will receive useful advice on organizing classes, dealing with students’ common mistakes, and observing lessons taught by experienced teachers.
Upon completion of the course, an internationally recognized TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is issued. This document opens doors to working as an English teacher not only in Thailand but also in other countries around the world, as well as for online teaching. After successfully obtaining the certificate, the program sponsor will assist in finding employment.
IEC offers two program options:
-
4-Week TEFL Course — a full four-week training program in Chiang Mai, starting every month.
-
TEFL Internship — a two-week training followed by a 4–5-month paid internship in schools in Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas. The TEFL certificate is issued after successful completion of the internship.
