Au Pair in France
Spend a year in France caring for children, learning French, and immersing yourself in the cultural atmosphere.
How do I submit documents to participate?
To enroll in the program, simply call us or fill out the form: sign up for a consultation or for enrollment. After that, the program coordinator will explain in detail all stages of the enrollment process.
What documents are required for registration?
Completed application form;
References confirming experience working with children (at least 2);
Character reference (at least one) — may be provided by former teachers or employers;
Handwritten letter in French to the host family (Host family letter);
Medical report;
Copy of diploma of secondary / higher education with translation into French;
Copy of driver’s license (preferably);
Copy of international passport;
Certificate of no criminal record;
Copy of birth certificate;
Certificate confirming knowledge of French (from a University or language courses).
What visa do I need?
Participants in the Au Pair France program are issued a long-term visa to work with a host family.
What documents are required to obtain a visa?
A separate package of documents is required for the visa; the list will be provided by an IEC representative.
Which international passport do you need to have on hand?
According to the agreement on participation in the program, the participant must provide IEC with a valid passport for international travel no later than 1 (one) month before the earliest possible program start date. In turn, the participant must have a passport valid for travel abroad at least two months before the earliest program start date.
