Teach in Thailand: about the country I'm going to

Every year millions of tourists from around the world visit Thailand. Thailand is a country of endless variety with many kilometers of sandy beaches, a greenish-blue sea and warm seawater, a mild climate, exotic natural landscapes, wildlife and plants, and vibrant, colorful markets. Thailand also attracts visitors with its rich culture and its hospitable, open and friendly population. It is also worth noting that education is highly valued in Thailand, and teachers enjoy great respect and authority in Thai society. Knowledge of English is perceived in Thailand as a guarantee of a successful career and a well-paid job. In recent years Thailand has also been undergoing a restructuring of its education system aimed at bringing it closer to Western education systems. As part of these reforms, the teaching of English in primary or secondary schools is given special attention. The government of Thailand has created a project called “English Program”, under which schoolchildren study subjects such as mathematics or art in English. These innovations have created a demand for qualified English language teachers.
