What level of English is required to participate in the program?
To participate in the program, participants’ language level must be at least Advanced. A participant must be able to communicate fluently in English on almost any topic.
Will it be necessary to provide a certificate confirming language proficiency?
No, participants can take the IELTS test upon arrival in Chiang Mai.
Is knowledge of the Thai language required?
No, instruction and teaching are conducted in English. However, the course includes an introduction to Thai culture and basic Thai for everyday communication.
Will I be met at the airport?
No, but the language school is only 5 km. from the airport and a taxi from the school or from the accommodation will cost only $6.
Where will I live while working?
The sponsor helps with finding accommodation. Participants have the option to live with a host family or in a student residence.
Is it necessary to have a teaching degree?
Pedagogical education is NOT required.
Can I participate in the program without a university degree?
Yes.
Where can you work after the course?
In public and private schools, colleges, universities, and language centers throughout Thailand and in other countries. You can also teach online.
Will You find me an employer?
The program sponsor will assist in finding job vacancies for employment in Thailand, but this is NOT included in the services under the contract.
