What level of Spanish is required to participate in the program?
To participate in the program, you need to have Spanish at a B1 level.
How to pay for the program?
After signing the IEC contract, the initial fee in the amount of $300 must be paid within 7 calendar days.
The second payment must be made before placement with the host family — after the participant’s profile has been uploaded to the sponsor’s system.
When to apply for the program?
The Volunteer in Chile program — year-round, and the documents must be submitted at least 2 months before the desired start date.
Is medical insurance required?
Yes. The program sponsor can help arrange insurance.
How much will I receive?
Volunteering is unpaid.

Volunteering is unpaid.
Can I choose the city where I want to do my internship?
Volunteers usually live with a host family or in a volunteer house.
How many hours per week will the volunteer project involve?
You may indicate your preferences, but the program sponsor does not guarantee placement in the chosen city.

Employment is approximately 20-30 hours per week.

How long does the volunteer project last?
No, we invite everyone who is 18 years old to take part in our volunteer program. Many projects do not require specific skills or previous experience; however, you must be able to adapt to another culture and be prepared to contribute to a good cause.
