The Work and Travel South-East Asia program is a unique opportunity for young professionals to gain international work experience in the hospitality industry. As a rule, participants work in luxury hotels (4-5 star), restaurants, or other venues related to the hospitality industry. Work and Travel in South-East Asia — it’s your chance to spend your summer or winter holidays productively. Participants can work in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, the Maldives, and Indonesia. Participants have the option to choose several countries. The program sponsor guarantees placement before the start of the program. Upon successful completion of the program, the employer provides recommendations. For program registration, work experience is not as important as your desire and enthusiasm for the hospitality field. However, English language proficiency must be at least at the Intermediate level.
Why do I need this
- Search for one employer before arrival in the country;
- Information support from IEC and the program sponsor during the application process and upon arrival in the country;
- Sponsor’s orientation meeting with the participant;
- CV Check
- Accommodation and meals (unless otherwise specified);
- Upon successful completion of the program — recommendations from the employer.
- Visa fees and any expenses related to embassies and the registration of foreign nationals;
- Air travel;
- Airport transfer;
- Transfer to the place of study;
- Individual expenses on request (for example — health check/medical examination, drug test, courier fees);
- Deposit for accommodation and payment of the first month of accommodation upon request ;
- Insurance (from €32 per month);
- If necessary, 1/2 nights in a hotel or hostel upon arrival;
- Assistance in finding accommodation, in case the employer does not provide it;
- Visa extensions — if necessary.

Requirements
- Students aged 18 to 33;
- English language proficiency at no lower than Intermediate level;
- Previous experience is not required, but will be considered an advantage;
- Studies may be unrelated to the field of tourism and hospitality, however there must be a desire to gain experience in this area;
- Be prepared for long working hours;
- Have no criminal record;
- The participant must bring sufficient funds, taking into account the size of the stipend (for the initial period at least USD 500-1000);
- No illnesses and the ability to undergo a drug test (if required by the employer).
Programs have fixed dates. Confirm the start date of the selected program with the IEC coordinator. Program duration — from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the selected program. Document submission — 4-6 months before the program start date.
