About the country I’m going to

An industrialized country, a major world industrial power lovingly preserving the traditional, centuries-old way of life of its cities and towns with a rich history — that is modern Germany. Centuries of feudal fragmentation also brought positive results: after all, some 300 principalities and free imperial cities, competing with one another, displayed their power and wealth in the form of astonishingly beautiful buildings. Interestingly, the differences between German dialects are still so great that television programs in the north of the country are sometimes broadcast with sign-language interpretation when southerners are speaking. There is no “backward province” in the Russian sense, although differences in the economic development of the federal states are noticeable. Germany has always benefited from its favorable geographical position, mild climate, and varied terrain.
