To participate in the program, you need to have a B1 level in Spanish.
How do I pay for the program?
Within 7 calendar days after signing the IEC contract, the entrance fee of $300 must be paid.
The second installment is paid before placement with a host family — after the participant’s profile has been uploaded to the sponsor’s system.
When to apply for the program?
The Internship in Chile program is year-round — documents must be submitted at least 2 months before the desired start date.
Is medical insurance required?
Yes. The program sponsor can help with arranging insurance.
Where will I live?
The program sponsor will help with finding accommodation.
Can I choose the city where I want to do my internship?
The program sponsor will help find accommodation.
Is there a list of open vacancies?
You may indicate your preferences, but the program sponsor does not guarantee placement in the chosen city.
How long does it take to find an internship placement?
After receiving the participant’s profile, the program sponsor sends it to potential employers. There is no list of vacancies opened in advance.
Which companies and where do people find internships?
The process of finding an employer may take from 4 to 8 weeks.
How many hours per week will the internship last?
Internships under the program can take place in private and government organizations, as well as in local and international companies throughout the country.
Can I participate without knowing Spanish?
Employment is approximately 25-30 hours per week.
How long do internships last?
No. Participants must know Spanish at least at an Intermediate level.
