Volunteering or volunteer work is socially useful work carried out voluntarily without expecting monetary compensation.

Will there be a salary?

Volunteering is unpaid; it’s work for an idea. Additionally, in Argentina, you will have the chance to meet volunteers from other countries — intercultural exchange of experiences is guaranteed!

What language skills are necessary to participate in this program?

Spanish and English.

What should I do if I don’t speak Spanish?

The volunteer program in Argentina includes intensive Spanish language courses, so it’s not a problem if you have no knowledge of Spanish.

Can I participate in the program without knowing Spanish?

Unfortunately, no. The level of English among the residents of Argentina is very low.

What level of Spanish is required to participate in the program?

It is necessary to have a conversational level of Spanish.

I have a good command of Spanish. Can I join the volunteering program in Argentina without taking Spanish courses?

Yes, but you should keep in mind that upon arrival in Argentina, there will be an orientation session where your language level will be assessed, and if it is found to be too weak, you will have to attend Spanish courses.

Is it necessary to be a student to participate in the program?

No, we invite everyone who is 18 years old to participate in our volunteer program. Many projects do not require special knowledge or previous experience; however, you must have the ability to adapt to another culture and be ready to contribute to a good cause.

Can I attend Spanish courses without later participating in a volunteer project?

Yes.

Can I take courses for more than four weeks?

Of course. You can study Spanish as long as you want.

How to pay for the program?

After signing the contract at the Center, an enrollment fee of $335 is paid within 7 calendar days.
The second part of the program is paid after the participant is fully registered in the sponsor’s system.

When to apply for the program?

The Volunteer Program in Argentina is year-round. Documents must be submitted at least 2-3 months before the desired start date.

How long can I participate?

The minimum duration of the volunteer project is 4 weeks, and the maximum is 24 weeks.

How is the selection of volunteer projects carried out?

Your volunteer project will be organized during your 4-week Spanish language course.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the language courses?

Yes, of course.

How many working hours will I have and will there be weekends?

On average, volunteers work 20-30 hours a week and have two days off per week.

Where will I live?

Volunteers usually live in a volunteer house in the city center or with families.

Can I participate in projects together with my friends?

Yes, of course.

What insurance do I need?

We recommend our participants to purchase health insurance. All details regarding insurance will be provided by the IEC office.

Will someone meet me at the airport?

The sponsor meets participants at Cordoba airport. Language courses start on Mondays, so participants should arrive on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
