Who can become a volunteer?
Anyone over 18, ready to help and work in a team. Special skills are welcome but not required — the main thing is the desire and willingness to learn.
What is volunteering?
Volunteering or volunteer activity — is socially useful work performed voluntarily without expectation of monetary compensation.
How much will I receive?
Volunteer projects are unpaid. But most importantly, volunteers get something you can’t buy for any amount of money: a sense of usefulness, the satisfaction that comes from their work and from providing help that is truly needed here. Participation in volunteer projects also gives the opportunity to gain a truly special life experience and to immerse yourself in the country’s cultural traditions.
What knowledge of languages is required to participate in this program?
English.
What level of English is required to participate in the program?
It is necessary to have conversational-level English. For those wishing to participate in educational programs, the level of English must be above average.
Do you need to be a student to participate in a volunteer project?
No. All who wish may participate.
How long can you participate?
The minimum duration of the volunteer project is 2 weeks, and the maximum is 12 weeks.
When do the programs start?
As a rule, volunteer programs in South Africa start every Sunday and end on Saturday.
When to apply for the program?
The Volunteering Program in South Africa — year-round. Documents must be submitted at least 1-2 months before the desired start date.
How to pay for the program?
Within 7 calendar days after signing the contract at the Center, the enrollment fee of $300 must be paid.
The second part of the program is paid after the participant is fully registered in the sponsor’s system.
How many working hours will I have and will there be any days off?
Volunteers usually work 5-6 hours a day and have two days off a week.

Where will I live while working?
There are accommodation options in a volunteer house or with a host family. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and meet other volunteers.
Do I need to pay to participate?
Yes. The fee covers accommodation, meals, project organization, transfers and support from on-site coordinators.
Will they meet me at the airport?
Yes.
Can I go with my friend?
Yes, of course. When applying to participate, You will need to provide the first and last name of Your friend with whom You are traveling.
What insurance do I need?
We recommend that our participants purchase medical insurance.
