What is volunteering?
Volunteering or volunteer work is socially useful work carried out voluntarily without expecting monetary compensation.
How much will I earn?
Volunteering is unpaid.
What language skills are necessary to participate in this program?
English.
What level of English is required to participate in the program?
It is necessary to speak English at a conversational level.
Is it mandatory to have a higher education for medical internships?
For those wishing to participate in medical programs, it is generally necessary to have an education in the field of medicine or to be a student.
Is it necessary to be a student to participate in the program?
No, we invite everyone who is 18 years old to participate in our volunteer program. Many projects do not require special knowledge or previous experience; however, you must have the ability to adapt to another culture and be ready to contribute to a good cause.
Can I become a volunteer if I am not yet 18 years old?
Some projects accept volunteers who are under 18, but parental permission will need to be provided.
How to pay for the program?
After signing the contract, the IEC fee of $335 must be paid within 7 calendar days.
The second part of the program is paid after the participant’s full registration in the sponsor’s system.
When to apply for the program?
The Volunteer Program in Asia is year-round. Documents must be submitted at least 2-3 months before the desired start date.
How long can I participate?
The minimum duration of the volunteer project is 1 week.
Where will I live?
Accommodation is provided in a room for 4-6 people.
In Indonesia, there is an option for accommodation in a separate room for an additional fee of 40 euros.
How many working hours will I have and will there be weekends?
Volunteers usually work 5-6 hours a day and have two days off per week.
Will someone meet me at the airport?
The sponsor meets participants at the airport.
When do programs start?
As a rule, volunteer programs in Asia start every Monday.
Can I participate in projects together with my friends?
Yes, of course.
What insurance do I need?
We recommend our participants to purchase health insurance. All details regarding insurance will be provided by the IEC office.
How to pay for the program?
