What level of languages is required to participate in the program?
To participate in the program, the level of English should not be lower than Intermediate. Additionally, knowledge of Spanish at the Basic level is desirable.
How to pay for the program?
After signing the contract, the IEC will charge an enrollment fee of €300 within 7 calendar days. The second part of the program cost is paid within 14 calendar days after the sponsor enrolls the participant in the program.
What is the duration of the program?
The minimum duration of participation in the program is 8 weeks and the maximum is up to 12 weeks. The participant can stay in the country as a tourist without a visa for up to 90 days.
What is the process for finding an employer?
The search for an employer is conducted independently by the participant upon arrival in Argentina. The program sponsor provides instructions on how to search for a job — how to write a resume and interview with an employer. However, the sponsor does not guarantee finding an employer.
What kind of work can I expect?
Work is mainly related to the service sector — in restaurants, hotels, shops, car washes, internet cafes, etc.
What salary is possible?
Depending on the employer and the place of work, participants can earn about $2-3 per hour.
Where will I live while working in Argentina?
Accommodation during the course must be arranged through the program sponsor (for at least 4 weeks). Accommodation can be in a student dormitory, hostel, hotel, or with a family. Prices vary depending on the type of accommodation and duration — approximately from 98 euros to 196 euros per week. The IEC coordinator will provide more information about accommodation if necessary.
When can I fly to Argentina?
Ticket purchases are only allowed after prior agreement with the program sponsor. Usually, the participant must arrive in Córdoba a few days before the program start date.
