What level of language proficiency is required to participate in the program?
To participate in the program, your English level must not be lower than Intermediate. It is also desirable to have knowledge of Spanish at a Basic level.
How to pay for the program?
After signing the IEC contract the entrance fee of €300 is paid within 7 calendar days. The second part of the program fee is paid within 14 calendar days after, the sponsor enrolls the participant in the program.
What is the duration of the program?
The minimum participation period in the program is 8 weeks and the maximum is 12 weeks. A participant may remain in the country as a tourist without a visa for up to 90 days.
What is the process of finding an employer?
The search for an employer is carried out independently by the participant upon arrival in Argentina. The program sponsor provides instructions on how to find a job — how to prepare a resume and how to interview with an employer. However, the sponsor does not guarantee that an employer will be found.
What kind of job awaits me?
Work is mainly related to the service industry — in restaurants, hotels, shops, car washes, internet cafes, etc.
What salary can be expected?
Depending on the employer and workplace.
Participants may receive around $2-3 per hour.
Where will I live while working in Argentina?
Accommodation for the duration of the courses must be booked by the participant through the program sponsor (for at least 4 weeks). Accommodation may be in a student dormitory, a hostel, a hotel, or with a host family. The cost varies depending on the type of accommodation and the duration — approximately from €98 to €196 per week. The IEC coordinator will provide more information regarding accommodation if needed.
When can I fly to Argentina?
Tickets should be purchased only after prior approval from the program sponsor. Usually the participant must arrive in Córdoba a couple of days before the program start date.
