The Work and Travel in Southeast Asia program invites you to explore new cultures, develop professional skills, and grow within the world of hospitality.
How do I submit the documents to participate?
To apply for the program, simply call us or fill out the form: sign up for a consultation or for registration. After that, the program coordinator will explain in detail all stages of the enrollment process.
What set of documents is required for registration?
Completed application form
Resume in Word format (CV)
Motivation letter in Word format (Motivation Statement)
Scan of international passport
Copy of the student record book with grades, translated into English
Bank statement issued no less than 6 months before finding an employer
A short video about yourself (recommended to increase your chances of finding an internship placement)
What is a Work Permit?
This is a work permit. Depending on the country of the internship, it may be required for the successful completion of the internship. The sponsor provides instructions and assistance in obtaining a work permit if necessary.
What visa do I need for the program ?
The type of visa depends on the chosen country (Thailand, the Maldives, Vietnam, Indonesia), as well as on the chosen program (Practical training or management training).
1. For Thailand — ED visa (education) or B visa (business). Processing before departure to Thailand;
2. For Vietnam — DH visa (student) or DN visa (business). Processing upon arrival in Vietnam;
3. For Indonesia — a socio-cultural visa or a work visa. Processing before departure to Indonesia;
4. For the Maldives program — a student visa or a work visa. Processing upon arrival in the Maldives.
Upon enrollment in the program, the sponsor will confirm which type of visa needs to be obtained and which documents need to be prepared and taken with you before departing for the internship.
What is a School Support letter?
This is an accompanying document/letter from the school. This document is required for visa application. The sponsor can provide a sample letter if necessary. It is important, before enrolling in the program, to confirm with the educational institution whether they can provide support for undertaking the internship and, if necessary, issue an accompanying letter.
What foreign passport do I need to have?
According to the program participation agreement, the participant must provide IEC with a valid passport for international travel no later than 1 (one) month before the earliest possible program start date. In turn, the participant must have a passport valid for international travel at least two months before the earliest program start date.
