Educational Career Training in the USA
Educational Career Training (ECT) is a structured J-1 Intern/Trainee program that combines professional training in U.S. K–12 schools with a cultural exchange experience. It is designed for international university students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals who want practical exposure to education, student services, and school operations in a real American school setting.
Passport
The passport copy must be valid for the entire duration of the program and for at least six (6) months after the program end date.

Criminal background check
Criminal background check must be issued within the last six months.
Statement of purpose / motivation letter
A Statement of Purpose (SOP) or Motivation Letter is a personal document in which the applicant outlines their academic and professional background, explains their interest in the program, and describes their goals and motivation for applying.
2 reference letters
Two reference letters from either an employer or an academic instructor, highlighting the applicant’s skills, achievements, character, and suitability for the program.
Self-introduction video
A self-introduction video in which the applicant briefly presents themselves, shares their background, interests, and motivation for applying to the program.
