Internship in Asia: the start of your career!
The internship program in South-East Asia allows students and recent graduates to complete a professional internship in the hospitality industry. Potential employers are located in major tourist destinations in the Asia-Pacific region as well as the Middle East. Participants can work in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Maldives, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. Participants have the opportunity to choose several internship countries. The internship in South-East Asia is a unique opportunity for a young professional to gain and/or improve practical skills in the hospitality sector. The invaluable experience gained in luxury hotels, restaurants, or other hospitality venues in the Asia region is a hallmark for a future career. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive recommendations from employers. Upon enrollment in the program, participants are guaranteed accommodation.
Program options:
— Hospitality Internship — an internship for students and those wishing to gain international experience in tourism and hospitality. Program duration is from 6 to 12 months;
— Management Training — a managerial internship for recent graduates. Program duration is from 6 to 18 months.
Why would I do that
- Finding one employer before arrival in the country;
- Informational support from the IEC and program sponsor during processing and upon arrival in the country;
- Orientation meeting between the sponsor and the participant
- Accommodation and meals (if not otherwise specified);
- CV check;
- Upon successful completion of the program – recommendations from the employer.
- Visa fee;
- Air flights;
- Transfer to/from the airport;
- Individual expenses as required (e.g., health check/medical examination, drug test, courier expenses);
- Deposit for accommodation and payment for the first month of accommodation (if required);
- Insurance (from 32 euros per month);
- If necessary, 1/2 nights in a hotel or hostel upon arrival;
- Assistance in finding accommodation if the employer does not provide;
- Visa extensions — if necessary.

Requirements
- Hospitality Internship:
- Students aged 18 to 33 years;
- Studies may not be related to tourism, but there should be an interest in this industry, and possibly the participant plans to study tourism and hospitality in the future;
- Previous experience is not mandatory but will be considered a plus;
- Must not have a criminal record;
- The participant must bring enough funds, considering the size of the scholarship (at least 500-1000 USD initially);
- Knowledge of English at the Intermediate level;
- Must be ready for long working hours;
- Absence of illnesses and the ability to pass a drug test (if required by the employer).
- Management Training:
- Recent graduates (+1) aged 22 to 39 years;
- Previous experience in the hospitality and tourism sector is required;
- Must not have a criminal record;
- The participant must bring enough funds, considering the size of the scholarship (at least 500-1000 USD initially);
- Absence of illnesses and the ability to pass a drug test (if required by the employer);
- Must be ready for long working hours;
- English level at the Upper-Intermediate level.
Programs have fixed dates. Please check the start date of the selected program with the IEC coordinator. Program duration – from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the selected program. The documents should be submitted 4-6 months before the program start date.
