Brazil: volunteering with a purpose
The program sponsor offers 6 (six) possible volunteer projects in Brazil: social work, elderly care, teaching English, teaching a musical instrument, environmental protection, and fundraising. Volunteer projects are offered in cities such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Curitiba. Anyone can participate in the program.
The program is designed for those who wish to:
“Improve” their foreign language skills
Travel and get to know the culture and traditions of another country
Live like a local and experience the atmosphere of the environment
Gain experience and skills that will be useful for future successful employment
Make new acquaintances: like-minded individuals and volunteers from different corners of the world = intercultural exchange!
Russian citizens do not need a visa to participate in this program.

Requirements
- Age from 18 years old
- Conversational English skills (A2-B1)
- Knowledge of Portuguese is not mandatory, but will be a significant advantage.
- It is not necessary to be a student to participate in the program.
Programs have fixed dates. Please check the start date of the selected program with the IEC coordinator. Program duration – from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the selected program. The documents should be submitted 4-6 months before the program start date.
