Camp in USA: work in children's camps in America
Camp in USA
Spend the summer in the USA working at children’s camps. Help organize fun daily activities for children, improve your English, and enjoy nature. Choose a role as a camp counselor or support staff!
Summer at an American camp – a unique experience!
Working in children’s summer camps is the oldest IEC program; the first participants went to the USA under it as early as 1989! In fact, the Center for International Exchange began with this very program. In America there are about 10,000 children’s camps that each year host more than 7 million children. In other words, the USA is simply a leader of the global camping movement. As a rule, all camps are located outside cities, in picturesque places — in the forest, on a river or a lake, or perhaps by the ocean. Participants of the program work in American children’s summer camps as Counselors (вожатые) or as Support Staff (обслуживающий персонал). Counselors look after the children, teach them various sports and make sure each day is fun and full of activities. In turn, Support Staff help organize the camp’s everyday operations. That includes kitchen positions (dishwashing, kitchen assistance, serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners) or minor maintenance, groundskeeping and other tasks.
