Studying in China
Studying in China is your chance to study Mandarin or pursue a degree at Qufu Normal University in Shandong province.
Participants can choose a one-year Chinese language program or apply to bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. No prior Chinese is required for the language program; degree programs require proof of the appropriate HSK level.
One major advantage of the program is the opportunity to study with financial support from the university, including options that cover tuition and accommodation.
You’ll get help with the admissions process, document submission, and organizational support while you’re in China.
Studying in China is ideal if you want to learn Mandarin in a language immersion setting, get to know Chinese culture, and gain international academic experience.

Program start dates depend on the chosen study format. The one‑year Chinese language program starts in March and September. Bachelor’s and master’s programs have one intake per year — in September. We recommend applying early. Applications are accepted year‑round, but early submission increases your chances of receiving a scholarship and selecting a campus. Check the start date of your chosen program with your IEC coordinator.
