About the country I am going to

In America, there are about 10,000 children’s camps, where more than 7 million children spend their holidays every year. This means that the USA is a true leader in the global camping movement. As a rule, all camps are located outside the city, in picturesque places, in the woods, by rivers or lakes, or perhaps by the ocean.
There are different types of camps in the USA: sports, scout, private, family, camps for children with disabilities, and also religious camps. Some camps are for children who stay only from morning until evening, while others are where they live throughout the entire session. Children come to camp to relax and have fun; therefore, there are always plenty of activities for creativity, crafts, sports, water activities, etc. Of course, as they say, the list of “activities” varies from camp to camp depending on its type, but the general idea is that leisure can be spent actively and beneficially.
Campers usually live in wooden cabins. Counselors typically live in one cabin with 8-12 children and 1-3 other program participants. Support Staff usually live in one cabin with 2-5 other participants. Almost all camps have computers and free internet access, which can be used during free time.

What do they write?

This summer was the most fantastic of my life!.. I worked in Wisconsin, and then traveled across the country. Now I have so many interesting friends. I am really happy! (I even piloted a small plane and a speedboat myself!)

The camp was just magnificent — both the staff and the kids. And despite the fact that I worked as support staff, I participated in a large number of activities with the children and camp counselors. And most importantly — I now have so many good friends from all over the world and so many great memories remain!
