About the country I am going to under the Volunteer in Brasil program

Brazil was discovered by Portuguese explorer Pedro Álvares Cabral on April 22, 1500. This first Don Pedro in Brazilian history named the land he discovered Terra da Vera Cruz. At that time, there were between 2 and 6 million indigenous people living there. Now there are about 300,000. In the last decade, the country has become one of the world leaders in absolute GDP volume.
Brazil is like a mosaic: it intertwines different cultures, and here you can see a piece of Europe, a piece of Africa, and a piece of Asia. The capital of the country, Brasília, designed by the outstanding architect Oscar Niemeyer, is unlike any other city in the world. From a bird’s eye view, it is evident that the main highways of the city and the adjacent neighborhoods form a resemblance to a jet passenger aircraft.
By the way, did you know that:
Brazilians are perhaps one of the happiest nations in the world. Even if things are not going well, when asked “How are you?” it is customary here to respond that “Everything is great.”
Brazilians are very sociable people and chat with each other about everything and nothing.
Upon hearing the word “Brazil,” we almost automatically continue: “…where there are so many wild monkeys.” However, this is far from true, and it is quite difficult to find monkeys here.
In the Amazon rainforest, 20% of all existing species of plants and birds in the world are found.

What do they write?

Order and progress.

The motto of the Federative Republic of Brazil
