What is volunteering?
Volunteering or volunteer activity — is socially beneficial work carried out voluntarily without expectation of monetary compensation.
How much will I receive?
Volunteering is unpaid.
What language skills are required to participate in this program?
Participants must know English at a conversational level; knowledge of Portuguese is not required, but would be a significant advantage.
When should I submit documents for the program?
The volunteer program in Brazil is year-round, documents must be submitted at least 2-3 months before the desired start date.
How can I pay for the program?
After signing the contract at the Center, an entrance fee of $300 must be paid within 7 calendar days.
The second part of the program is paid after the participant’s full registration in the sponsor’s system.
Do you need to be a student to participate in a volunteer project?
No, we welcome anyone aged 18 and over to take part in our volunteer program. Many projects do not require special skills or prior experience; however, you must be able to adapt to a different culture and be ready to contribute to a good cause.
How many working hours will I have and will there be any days off?
Volunteers work from 2 to 6 hours a day.
Where will I live?
Volunteers usually live in a volunteer house in the city center or with families. Accommodation prices start at $150 per month.
Can I participate in projects together with my friends?
When applying to participate you will need to provide the first and last name of Your friend, with whom You are traveling, but the sponsor cannot guarantee that You will be placed in the same project.
How long can you participate?
A volunteer project usually lasts 3 months.
