Au Pair in Germany: language and new experience!
Au Pair in Germany is an exchange program for participants aged 18-26 who wish to gain unique experience working with children in Germany for 10-12 months. Participants care for the children of German families and perform light household chores, but not more than 30 hours per week. The conditions for participants in this program in Germany are quite attractive. Pocket money is from 280 EUR per month, and the host family offers free accommodation and meals. As part of the program, participants attend German language courses, which they pay for themselves. However, the host family is willing to partially cover educational expenses (about 50 EUR per month). The cost of courses is from 150-200 EUR per month (depending on the region). To work in Germany under the Au Pair program, good knowledge of German (at least at the Intermediate level) is required. Au Pair participants are entitled to 1-2 days off per week and 4 weeks of paid vacation per year. Participants in the Au Pair program receive the necessary documents for temporary work in Germany.
