There are open positions at 5-star hotels! Employers cover room and board, and in some cases they’ll also pay for your flight.
The island of Mauritius is a year-round resort with powder-white sandy beaches and lush tropical vegetation, located in the southwestern Indian Ocean near Madagascar. This exchange program offers a unique opportunity to do an internship on the island of Mauritius for 3 to 6 months. Arguably the most valuable part of this internship isn’t the pay so much as the chance to live and work on one of the world’s most beautiful vacation destinations. Besides hospitality internships, there may be openings in areas like marketing, logistics, information technology, or finance. Applications are open year-round, but you’re more likely to find interesting internship placements from July through April. Prior experience in the field isn’t required, but it’s a big plus.
Special conditions include higher pay, free room and board, and a paid flight.

Requirements
- Students and recent graduates aged 18–35;
- For recent graduates, education must match the internship field;
- Recent graduates must obtain approval to participate in the internship from their university;
- English at Upper-Intermediate level; knowledge of French is a plus;
- Work experience in the internship field is preferred.
Programs have fixed dates. Confirm the start date of your chosen program with your coordinator at IEC. Program duration ranges from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the program. Submit your documents 4-6 months before the program start date.
