Mauritius is a year-round resort with pristine sandy beaches and lush tropical vegetation located in the southwestern part of the Indian Ocean, near Madagascar. The exchange program provides a unique opportunity to complete an internship on the island of Mauritius for a duration of 3 to 6 months. It can be said that the most valuable aspect of this internship is not so much the monetary reward but the opportunity to live and work on this island, one of the most beautiful tourist resorts in the world. In addition to internships in hospitality, vacancies may be available in fields such as marketing, logistics, information technology, or finance. Recruitment for the program is open year-round, but there are more chances to find an interesting internship position from July to April. Previous work experience in the internship field is not a primary requirement, but it will be considered a huge bonus.
Why would I do that
- Finding an internship;
- Processing of Residence Permit (temporary residence permit);
- Support from the host organization upon arrival;
- Assistance in arranging accommodation in a student residence (if necessary).
- Medical insurance;
- 3 medical tests: HIV, Hepatitis B, Chest X-Ray for Tuberculosis;
- Transfer to/from the airport;
- Accommodation and food (from 400 EUR per month and unless otherwise stated);
- Sending original documents to the program sponsor;
- Flight ticket (cost about 1000 EUR).

Requirements
- Students and recent graduates aged 18–35 years;
- For recent graduates, the education must correspond to the field of internship;
- A recent graduate must obtain approval for participation in the internship from their university;
- English at Upper-Intermediate level, and knowledge of French will be a plus;
- Previous work experience in the internship field is desirable.
Programs have fixed dates. Please check the start date of the selected program with the IEC coordinator. Program duration – from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the selected program. The documents should be submitted 4-6 months before the program start date.
