Volunteering in Costa Rica: help nature and find like-minded people
Volunteering is voluntary work for a cause. For example, if you are passionate about saving sea turtles, then with a company of like-minded volunteers from around the world, you will live on the seashore, monitor turtle nests, and ensure the safe passage of turtle hatchlings into the ocean. Every year, thousands of young people participate in international volunteer programs. For energetic, enthusiastic participants who want to do good, volunteer programs in Costa Rica are offered in the following areas: education, social sphere, animal care, and environmental protection. On a small territory, Costa Rica has over fifty different reserves and more than a hundred private conservation areas, covering about 30% of the country’s entire territory. Participants interested in working with animals are placed in volunteer projects in one of the national parks.
The program is designed for those who wish to:
“Improve” their foreign language knowledge or acquire knowledge of an additional language
Travel and get to know the culture and traditions of another country
Live like a local and experience the atmosphere of the environment
Gain experience and skills that will be useful for future successful employment
Make new acquaintances: like-minded individuals and volunteers from different corners of the world = intercultural exchange!
