Every year, thousands of volunteers from all over the world help residents of Asian countries restore homes, schools, hospitals, teach local children English and other subjects, provide first aid, and care for animals and the plant world.
For all energetic, enthusiastic participants who want to do good, the International Exchange Center offers Volunteer programs in Asia. Countries where you can participate in a volunteer program include Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Laos, Nepal, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Japan. Participation in 88 volunteer programs in Asia is offered. Volunteer projects are available in the following areas: education (preschool and school), social sphere, medicine, sports camps, animal care, environmental protection.
The program is designed for those who wish to:
“Improve” their foreign language skills
Travel and get to know the culture and traditions of another country
Live like a local and experience the atmosphere of the environment
Gain experience and skills that will be useful for future successful employment
Make new acquaintances: like-minded individuals and volunteers from different corners of the world = intercultural exchange!
The program duration is from 1 to 4 weeks. Generally, volunteer programs in Asia start every Monday. You will be welcomed at the airport and taken to the place where you will participate in the program. The program organizer will help you resolve any issues and provide support throughout the entire time.
Why would I do that
First payment: €300
- Selection of a suitable volunteer program;
- Accommodation and meals during introductory/cultural weeks;
- Accommodation and meals during participation in the volunteer program;
- Transfer from the airport to the destination if the participant arrives on Sunday;
- Provision from the sponsor of confirmation of participation in the volunteer program;
- Participant registration and informational support.
- Air tickets;
- Transfer from the airport if the participant arrives on any day except Sunday (in Thailand: except Saturday and Sunday): ~35 EUR/ one way;
- Transfer to the airport: ~35 EUR/ one way;
- Visa and insurance arrangement.

Requirements
- Age: from 18 years.
- Basic knowledge of English (A2) is required. For those wishing to participate in educational programs, the level of English must be Intermediate (B1).
- For those wishing to participate in medical programs, education in the medical field is usually required.
Programs have fixed dates. Please check the start date of the selected program with the IEC coordinator. Program duration – from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the selected program. The documents should be submitted 4-6 months before the program start date.
