Hospitality work in Argentina
The country of bright sunshine and cheerful people is waiting for you. Go to Argentina to gain professional skills while studying and improving your Spanish language. This program is for young people aged 18 to 30 who want to “improve” their Spanish language skills and live like a local to experience the atmosphere of the environment. Most job positions are offered in Buenos Aires, in hostels, hotels, bars, and restaurants. Main positions include reception work, housekeeping, waitstaff, baristas, and cashiers in bars or restaurants. Average workload per week: 30 hours. Work in Argentina is unpaid.
The employer provides accommodation and meals (mainly just breakfast). There is an opportunity to attend Spanish language courses, participate in student and sports events, and go on country tours (for an additional fee).
Why would I do that
- Registration and documentation processing.

- Transfer from Buenos Aires airport to the hostel where the participant will stay for 3 days during the orientation session.
- Orientation session. The program sponsor’s representative conducts a brief tour of nearby city attractions. Providing basic information about Argentina and Buenos Aires, how to use public transport, safety instructions in the city.
- One free Spanish language class during the orientation session.
- Upon arrival, the participant will receive: Sim Card, SUBE card for metro, trains, and buses.
- Support from the sponsor during the stay in Argentina.
- There is an opportunity to receive discounts on tours, tango classes, nightclubs, and other discounts.
- The sponsor’s office will have access to a computer and the internet.
- Medical insurance arrangement (~30$ USD per month).
- Air tickets.
- Spanish language courses:
- — Cost of intensive group courses (20 classes per week): 190€ EUR per week + registration fee: 70€ EUR (paid once). Duration of courses from 1 to 10 weeks.
- — If a participant decides to take Spanish language courses before the start of the program, they will be able to live with a family. The cost of accommodation in a separate room, with meals (HB): 265€ EUR/week.

Requirements
- From 18 to 30 years old.
- Being a student or having higher education is not mandatory.
- It is necessary to have an interest in working in the tourism sector.
- Basic knowledge of Spanish is required (A2 level).
- If a participant does not speak Spanish but has a strong desire to join the program, they must speak English at an Intermediate level (B1).
- Experience in the tourism field is a plus.

Programs have fixed dates. Please check the start date of the selected program with the IEC coordinator. Program duration – from 1 week to 3 years, depending on the selected program. The documents should be submitted 4-6 months before the program start date.
